Every year, the Sugar Bowl is a sold-out event. It is one of the four Bowl Championship Series (BCS) bowls that host the 10 top college football teams in their end of the season bowl games. So, the Sugar Bowl is a big-time college football event.

The next Sugar Bowl will be held on January 4, 2011. It'll be the SEC's Arkansas Razorbacks against the Big Ten's Ohio State Buckeyes. Here's a discussion of the game. Traditionally, the Sugar Bowl was where the SEC Football Champion always played its Bowl Game. With the advent of the Bowl Championship Series (BCS), that changes if the SEC champ is invited to the National Championship Game. But, either way, the Sugar Bowl is still tied to the Southeastern Conference and always gets at least the #2 team out of the SEC for its bowl game.

The actual BCS Championship Game rotates between the four bowls. Two years ago, New Orleans got it, so the Louisiana Superdome also hosted the National Championship game on January 7, 2008 (which the Florida Gators won).

Of course, the Sugar Bowl brings in tens of thousands of people each year. And they love to come because “The Big Easy” always offers a “Big” time. There is always a big party before the game and an even bigger one afterwards.

The Louisiana Superdome, is home to the New Orleans Saints, and also plays host to the Sugar Bowl. With the historic happenings of Hurricane Katrina still looming in the back of everyone's mind, fans know how lucky they are to attend the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans and players realize what a gift it is to play there.

There, you'll see some of the original splendor found before Hurricane Katrina made its mark on the city and guests report Hotel St. Marie is just as guest-focused as they have always been. It's highly suggested for fans who want to stay close to Bourbon Street!

Dining in New Orleans for football fans has always been an event and today, it remains the same. Many fans have discovered some of their favorites gone but some of the finest remain unscathed and firm on solid, if not delicious, foundations.
