Learn more about Florida Gator Football Travel Guide; Florida Gator Baseball Travel Guide; Florida Gator Basketball Travel Guide and Florida Gator Tickets

The 2007 tickets for Florida games were announced at $224 each with a slight increase from the previous season. Well, okay a fifteen percent increase is a little steep. No sweat. We are talking about the Florida Gators. The 2006 College Football National Champions are worth it. After all, as fans, we're savvy and we know where to save money elsewhere.

Fans traveling to Gator-country know they are among the lucky ones. There are many places around Gainesville that welcome Florida fans with warm hospitality and a pretty good deal for those on a budget.

Depending on what you want to spend and what you want in room accommodations, you'll be flooded with choices. Fans who like to be pampered often choose the Residence Inn by Marriott located on 13th Street. Ask for a penthouse suite because these are loft-suites and you'll love when the party follows you back to your place after the game!

When traveling on a budget, Comfort Inn is an all-time favorite; but remember, advanced reservations are suggested long before game day. Choice hotels usually provide some of the best accommodations for the money and Gainesville is no exception.

For the hopeless romantics, the best property in Gainesville is The Laurel Oak Inn. Located right off South Main Street, when you want to pamper the one you love before game time"”this is it! Gorgeous rooms with fireplaces, hearty meals and southern hospitality make this bed and breakfast a must for those who want something more than a roadside inn.

Nightlife in Gainesville stands out because the Gators do know how to party. Highly recommended is the Cluck You Chicken where you can find a cold beer and lots of college co-eds ready to make your acquaintance. A Florida dive, the Cluck You Chicken is located right across from the stadium on University Drive.

If you aren't looking to mingle with the college crowd and you just want the best meal in town, there's only one place to consider. Harry's of Gainesville is top notch dining with the best seafood in town. New Orleans doesn't have anything on this restaurant where Cajun dishes here are remembered for years to come.
