Florida Gators tennis is (overall) the second best tennis program in the Southeastern conference. In the coaches' 2008 preseason tennis poll, the UF men was predicted to finish second in the SEC East (behind Georgia). The Gator lady tennis team is predicted to finish first in the SEC East and first overall in the Southeastern Conference.
In the final 2007 college tennis polls, the Florida men finished 16th; the Gator women 6th -- in the nation. Also, singles players Jesse Levine ended up ranked 3rd nationally and Diana Srebrovic ended up ranked 17th.
The head coach for Florida's men's tennis team is Andy Jackson and the assistant coach is Jeremy Bayon.

The men's team has a tough schedule this year with most of their tournaments being away from home.
So far, there have been fewer injuries on the team, compared to last season. However, the team is younger with a lot of freshman on the roster and only two seniors.
Greg Ouellette was voted the most valuable player on the Florida Gators tennis men's team in the 2006-2007 season.
