Mississippi State Bulldogs Tennis



Mississippi State Bulldogs tennis normally resides in the cellar of the SEC. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like 2008 will be different. The preseason poll (votes by all SEC tennis coaches) predicts the MSU men will finish last in the SEC West; the women will finish next to last in the West.

At the end of the 2007 season, the Mississippi State women's tennis team was not ranked nationally (one of only 2 unranked teams in the SEC. The Bulldog men didn't fare too much better, ending up 2007 ranked 57th.

The head coach for the Miss. State men's tennis team is Per Nilsson and the assistant coach is Matt Hill.



The 2007-2008 MSU Tennis roster includes:

  • Ivan Bjelica a senior out of Belgrade, Serbia. Height 6'3
  • Christopher Doerr a sophomore out of London, England. Height 6'0
  • Ryan Farlow a junior out of Madison , Mississippi. Height 5'8
  • Phiippe Frayssinoux out of Plaisir, France. Height 6'3
  • Maximilien Genuini a freshman out of Paris, France. Height 6'3
  • Artem Kuznetsox a sophomore out of Moscow, Russia. Height 5'11
  • Pjotrs Necajevs a sophomore out of Riga, Latvia. Height 6'0

The head coach for the Mississippi State women's team is Tracy Lane. The Assistant coach is Max Fomine. The roster for the 2007-2008 tennis women's team is:

  • Elna Villiers a junior out of Grunau, Namibia
  • Tatiana Feit a junior out of Beuilly sur Seine,France
  • Renee Joseph a senior out of Rock Hill, South Carolina

  • Valeriva Makarycheva a Sophomore out of Moscow, Russia
  • DeAndra Saddler a sophomore out of Alphretta, Georgia
