Tennessee Volunteers tennis is not the best in the SEC, but it's still pretty darn good. In fact, men's singles player Kaden Hensel finished 2007 ranked 18th nationally and Blakeley Griffith finished 29th in the country on the women's tennis side.
The teams as a whole finished 2007 with the UT men's tennis team ranked 25th; the lady vols ranked 23rd.
But, what about 2008? Well, the latest pre-season SEC tennis polls predicts the Volunteer men will finish 5th in the SEC East; the women -- 3rd. So, that would be a bit of down year, especially for the men. But, we'll see.

The Lady Vols head coach is Mike Patrick. The assistant head coach is Sonia Hahn-Patrick. The Tennessee Volunteers women's tennis team finished in the top twenty of the ITA Southeast Championship last fall. As for the Tennessee Lady Vols Tennis roster for the 2007-2008, here it is:
