2010 Auburn Tigers Soccer Preview
The 2009 season for the Auburn Tigers was one of frustration and a lot of spirit. The Tigers had a challenging schedule and seemed to have a difficult time keeping everything together. In fact, out of 355 attempts at scoring a goal, only 35 actually made it, meaning that the Tigers only scored about 1.59 goals per game. Overall, the team's record was 10-9-3, not quite as good as 2008 but still a great record. They were 3rd West in the SEC, with a record of 6-5-0. They tied in the second round of the SEC, and made it to the NCAA post season, where they lost.
They have a tough schedule for 2010. They have 11 SEC games, 9 of which are in October. This will give the team a run for their money as they are up against some powerful teams such as Georgia and South Carolina. However, if there is one thing this team has, it's determination. They never give up and are sure to make a good stand.
The team is returning 17 letterwinners and 8 starters, so that should help as they will have some experienced players going into the new season.
