Urban Meyer Biography
Born on July 10, 1964 in Ashtabula, Ohio, Urban Meyer grew up to play as a defensive back, on the University of Cincinnati football team, from 1983-1986. His education includes a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Sports Administration. It is good to see that he has an education to fall back on in case the "coaching gig" doesn't work out. However, given his career over the past twenty years, that seems unlikely.

This was the Gators' first championship since 1996. In addition to his 5-0 record in bowl games (as of 2007), under Meyer, the Gators also have an undefeated record against their three biggest opponents " Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida State"and a 13-0 home record.

However, the Florida Gators are not just great on the football field. The team achieved its best semester grade point average under Urban Meyer in the Spring Semester of 2007. The 2.77 GPA is the highest under Meyer at Florida and it continues a trend of improving grade point averages every semester under since Meyer arrived.
