2010-2011 Auburn Tigers Golf Preview

Head coach Kim Evans led the 2009-2010 women's golf team to top-five finishes in nine of the 12 tournaments they played in. They had first-place victories at the Auburn Invitational and the Tiger/Wave Classic. The team placed fifth at the SEC Championships. The 2010-2011 team only lost one player and sees the return of senior Cydney Clayton, who was ranked third in the individuals at the NCAA's. The schedule for the year is a challenging one, but does give the team home advantage for the SEC Conference Tournament.

The 2009-2010 men's golf team placed seventh at the SEC Championships and ninth at the NCAA South Central Tournament. They placed first at the Tiger Shootout and the E-Z-Go Schenkel Invitational. Head coach Nick Clinard's 2010-2011 team is ranked 18th by Golf World magazine. Blayne Barber will bring skill and leadership to the team as the fifth-ranked collegiate player in the country. This year's team also brings back six returning letter winners. They will play in 10 tournaments.
