South Carolina Gamecocks Golf
South Carolina Gamecocks golf is solid. Very, very solid. The Men's golf team finished 2007 ranked 31st nationally. The Lady Gamecocks ended the season ranked 26th. So, not bad at all.
2008 looks even better for South Carolina's men's golf team as they are ranked 20th in the preseason polls.
And, the USC golfers backed that up by finishing eighth at Isleworth last fall.
The head coach for the Gamecock men's golf team is Bill McDonald. The team's roster for 2007-2008 follows:

- George Bryan IV a sophomore out of Chapin, South Carolina.
- Patrick Cunning a junior out of Aiken, South Carolina.
- Baker Elmore a junior out of Cheraw, South Carolina.
- Florian Fritsch a junior out of Munich, Germany.
- Allen Koon a junior out of Bamberg, South Carolina.
- Bryan Miller a sophomore out of Dalton, Georgia.
- Chris Piumelli a sophomore out of Mountain Lakes, New Jersey
- Patrick Rada a sophomore out of Anderson, South Carolina
- Mark Silvers a junior out of Savannah, Georgia
- Warren Thomas a senior out of Columbia, South Carolina
- Paul Woodbury a sophomore out of Lake City, South Carolina
University of South Carolina Women's Golf
The head coach for the Lady Gamecocks this season is Kristi Coggins. The assistant coach is Michael Burcin. The roster includes:
- Taylor Barrett a sophomore from York, South Carolina.
- Elizabeth Freeman a freshman from Anderson, South Carolina.
- Erika holmen a freshman from Gothenburg, South Carolina.
- Camila Mori a senior from Santiago, Chile.
- Laura Raffo a senior from Rio Cuarto, Argentina.
- Whitney Simons a senior from Aiken, South Carolina.
- Meredith Taylor a junior from Lexington, South Carolina.
- Benedicte Toumpsin a sophomore from Sombreffe, Belgium
- Blythe Worley a senior from Greenville, North Carolina.
The USC gamecocks golf women's team is impressive. Though they know the 2007 season is coming to a close they are aggressively steady for the 2008 season.
THe victory would be a good thing for them. To hold the SEC championship would be an awesome thing for this USC gamecocks golf women's team.
