2010-2011 South Carolina Gamecocks Golf Preview
The women's golf team grabbed the NCAA Eastern Regional Title during the 2009-2010 seasons. Coach Kalen Anderson also led the team to a seventh-place finish at the SEC Championships and a 14th-place rank at the NCAA Championships. The 2010-2011 team hopes to defend their NCAA Eastern Regional title along with the help of three returning letter winners and three strong freshmen. The team has eight regular season tournaments, with two of those being new events.
The 2009-2010 men's golf team placed ninth at the SEC Championships and eighth at the NCAA East Regional Championships. The team had a first-place finish at the Rees Jones Intercollegiate and three second-place finishes. Coach Bill McDonald has chosen three new events for the men in the 2010-2011 seasons. Along with the help of returning players Wesley Bryan and Clint Tolleson, the team hopes to seek their first SEC Conference title.
