2010-2011 Florida Gators Golf Preview
The women's golf team, under the leadership of coach Jan Dowling, had five top-five finishes in the 2009-2010 season, with a first-place finish at the Central District Invitational. Isabelle Lendl lead the team, named to the SEC All-Freshmen team as well as the All-SEC Second team. The 2010-2011 team has nine tournaments, as well as the SEC/PAC-10 Challenge. The team's tournament lineup leaves them hoping that the best tournaments make the best team possible in the Florida Gators women's golf team.
The 2009-2010 season marked the first time the men's golf team played in the Olympic Fields Invitational. In his 23rd season as head coach, Buddy Alexander led the team to a disappointing 11th-place finish at the NCAA Championships. The 2010-2011 season shows promise, as the men's team has five returning letter winners. They were ranked eighth in the preseason by Golf World magazine.
