2010-2011 Georgia Bulldogs Golf Preview
The women's golf team had two first-place finishes during their 2009-2010 season. The team placed fourth at the SEC Championships and 11th at the NCAA Central Regional Championships. Coach Kelley Hester sees potential in the 2010-2011 season with four starters returning, along with three additional letter winners. The team has eight regular season tournaments as well as the SEC/PAC10 Challenge and the Battle at Rancho Bernardo.
Chris Haack, the 2010 SEC Coach of the Year, lead the 2009-2010 men's team to three tournament titles, including the SEC Championships. Teammate Russell Henley had an outstanding year, earning National and SEC Player of the Year honors. The 2010-2011 team has a preseason rank of third by Golfweek and a fourth ranking by Golf World. With three All-Americans on the team, they hope to defend their SEC title.
