2010 Ole Miss Rebels Volleyball Preview
The Ole Miss Rebels volleyball team finished the 2009 season with a 10-20 record and an SEC record of 4-16. There was no postseason record for the years. This a far cry from the success seen in the past four seasons, where the team had a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, two All-Region selections, and six selections to an All-SEC team.
The 2010 schedule proves to be challenging with two primary goals for the team: exposure to several styles of playing while building confidence and experience. Conference play for 2010 features 20 matches with a round-robin format that will see every team play the other 10 teams twice, once at home and once on the road.
Coach Joe Getzin leads the 2010 team with 9 returning letter winners and young team with only two returning seniors. Some may see this as a rebuilding year for Ole Miss but Getzin maintains they can still make a successful run thanks to the athleticism this year's team brings.
