2010 Kentucky Wildcats Volleyball Preview

The Wildcats claimed the Southeastern Conference Eastern Division crown in 2009, for the first time in the program's history. With an overall record of 29-5 record, Kentucky made its first trip to the Sweet 16 while racking up a program-record three All-American selections. The Wildcats are set to face six NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago during the non-conference portion of the season. The 2010 season doesn't get any easier as the Wildcats kick off conference play versus team rival Florida at home.
Fans can expect to see some new faces on the 2010 team with the departure of four-year players BriAnne Sauer and Sarah Rumely. Coach Craig Skinner is confident that new faces won't compromise team performance, as his expectations for a winning season are high. With the help of seniors Lauren Rapp and Blaire Hiller, Skinner's ultimate goal of winning an SEC championship and making a deep run in the national tournament remain unchanged.
