2010 Tennessee Volunteers Volleyball Preview
The Tennessee Volunteers volleyball team finished the 2009 season with a 24-8 record and post-season second round play in the NCAA Tournament. The Big Orange set the school record for conference victories and returned to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in six years.
After back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances and 20-win seasons, the Tennessee Volunteers have a primary objective goal for 2010: the SEC Conference Championship. The 10 other coaches in the conference agree, as they voted the team the preseason favorite for winning the league title. This news came just days after the Lady Volunteers was ranked the 19th best team in the nation.
Under two-time National Coach of the Year, Rob Patrick; the 2010 season outlook is promising. The team has 10 returning letter winners and the nation's fourth-ranked recruiting class. They are ready to contend for the league title.
