Ole Miss Rebels softball is a solid SEC softball team. Not great, but not bad either. In 2007, the Lady Rebs ended up 4th in the SEC West (just behind cross-state rival MSU). They had an 11-17 record in the SEC and 24-34 overall.

Ole Miss actually needed to hold tryouts in the offseason to get enough players for the 2007-2008 softball team. Ole Miss Rebels softball is led by head coach Missy Dickerson. The assistant coach is McKewn Dannelly.



If you look at Rebels softball historically, you'll find that it generally has been on the upswing. So, that is good news for 2008.

The Ole Miss Rebels softball team roster for the 2008 season is as follows:

• Morgan Button a freshman out of Lake St.Louis, Missouri. Playing the position of outfield. Lisa Conchos a junior out of Phoenix, Arizona. Playing the position of infield.
  
  
• Alise Doubt a sophomore out of Mandeville, Florida. Playing the position of outfield.
  
  
• Ahley Dowdy a sophomore out of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Playing the position of infield.
  
  
• Erin Faircloth a senior out of Brunswick, Georgia. Playing the position of infield.
  
  
• Courtnie Ghinaudo a sophomore out of Lake Jackson, Texas. playing the position of out field.
  
  
• Molly Goza a freshman out of Plano, Texas. Playing the postition of infield.
  
  
• Lauren Grill a sophomore out of Tualatin, Oregan. Playing the position of infield.
  
  
• Elizabeth Holbert a senior out of Long Beach, Mississippi. Playing the position of infield.
  
  
• Michelle May a junior out of Vero Beach, Florida.Playing the position of center.
  
  
• Alyssa McGovern a sophomore out of Southlake, Texas. Playing the postion of infield.
  
  
• becky Nye a sophomore out of McKinney, texas. Playing RHP.
  
  
• Lindsey Perry a freshman out of Madison, Mississippi. Playing the position of RHP.
  
  
• Aly Presswood a Rfreshman out of Keller, Texas. Playing the position of infield.
  
  
• Lauren Rowe a senior out of Quitman, Georgia. playing the position of infield.
  
  
• Rachel Torres a freshman out of Corpus Christi, Texas. Playing the position of center.
  
  
• Amber Tramp a sophomore out of Keller, Texas. Playing the position of center.
  
  
• Tara Willitt a senior out of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. playing the position of LHP.

You can see from the roster that Ole Miss has a few holes to fill. Because of that, several Rebel softball players have to play more than one position. Ole Miss is especially thin in pitching.
