Georgia Bulldogs Softball

The Georgia Bulldogs softball team had a solid 2007 season. They struggled a bit in the SEC, ending up with a 13-15 record. But, 46-28 overall, so you can see they did real well when playing out of conference.

Lu Harris is the head coach for the Georgia bulldogs softball team.

The assistant coaches are Michelle Green and Brent Shaw.

Georgia's 2007 softball roster consisted of the following:

All of the Georgia bulldog softball team players did their part in making the 2007 season a good one.

Among the different things that have been going on with the Georgia bulldogs softball team is the hosting of instructional clinics in November and December.

These are what they like to call their holiday clinics for ages eight to eighteen and lots of fun.

Coach Harris as well as the Georgia bulldogs softball team are all a part of these holiday clinics and enjoy doing them.

Although there is a cost, it is for a good cause and helps out the UGA softball team as well.

Unfortunately last fall, the Bulldogs suffered an injury to one of their key players -- Kasi Gaskill. Although Kasi’s injuries weren’t real bad, so it was reported, she didn’t continue to play throughout the rest of the 2007 season. Coach Harris did not want to take any risks with her long-term recovery.

Georgia ended the 2007 season with a .266 batting average and ranked third in the SEC East. They also had a school record 135 stolen bases and were fourth in runs, hits, and RBI's.
