2010-2011 LSU Tigers Track and Field Preview
The men's track & field team finished in 6th place at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, they scored 34 points in the team standing. Walter Henning became the school's first NCAA champion in the hammer throw event.
Barrett Nugent had an outstanding performance as he broke Eric Reid's 23 year old record in the 110-meter hurdles.
The women's track & field team placed 6th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships scoring an impressive 31 points.
Senior LaTavia Thomas put the finishing touches on her impressive college career with a pair of All-American honors at the championship.
She finishes her college career having earned 12 All-American honors becoming one of the greatest track & field stars LSU has had.
