2010-2011 Florida Gators Men's Track and Field Preview
The Florida men's track & field team finished the NCAA Outdoor Championships with an impressive 2nd place finish with the team earning 54 points. They earned 15 All-American honors and won three NCAA individual championships. Winning the 4 x 100 meter relay earned the school 13 top 10 national team finishes in the 2009-2010 season.
It was a remarkable season for the Florida men, as they won the 2010 NCAA Indoor Championship (a first in the history of the program), clinched their first Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championship since 1987 and placed second at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Finishing a remarkable season next year looks to be just as good with the return of some key members of the team.
The Florida women's track & field team finished 3rd at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, their highest finish at the event since 1992. Mariam Kevkhishvili became the 2nd woman in NCAA history to win five career shot put national titles.
