Florida Gators Track and Field
The Florida Gators track and field schedule begins with a set of home events, the first being the Tom Jones Memorial Classic at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center on January 26th. During the outdoor season, the Florida's track and field team will host the Pepsi Florida Relays from April 4th through the 5th.
UF track and field will open the indoor season at the Southeastern Conference & Big Ten Challenge in Bloomington, Indiana on January 19th and then return home for the Tom Jones Memorial Classic. The team’s athletes who are multi-event team members will leave from Florida’s home hosted indoor competition, traveling to Clemson, South Carolina for the Clemson Multi-Events Invite.
The Florida Gators track and field team will then take part in the Rod McCravy Memorial and the Iowa State Classic in order to prepare and fine-tune themselves for the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships, which will be held on February 29th through March 2nd in Fayetteville, Arkansas. With success, Florida Gators track and field will send athletes to Last Chance meets at Notre Dame and Iowa State before they return to Fayetteville for two days, March 14 through the 15, to take place in the NCAA Indoor Championships.
The Florida Gators’ track and field outdoor campaign will begin on March 22 with the two-day Florida State Relays and then the team will travel to Miami for the Hurricane Classic on March 29. The Florida Gators track and field team will host the Pepsi Florida Relays, and then the team will send representatives to the Mesa Classic, the Spec Towns Invitational, and the Sun Angel Track Classic for two days of track and field fun from the 11th of April until the 12th.
After April 16, when the Azusa Pacific is held, the Florida Gators track and field team will compete at the Mount SAC Relays, the Penn Relays, the Drake Relays, in addition to the Ole Miss Invitational on consecutive weekends in April in order to prepare for the Southeastern Conference Outdoor Championships, which will take place in Auburn, Alabama from the 15th of May until the 18th. The Florida Gators track and field will head to Tallahassee, Florida, after a brief weekend off, for the NCAA East Regional on the 30th of May until the 31st.
Finally the University of Florida track and field competitions will end with the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 11th through the 14th. The NCAA Outdoor Championships will be held in Des Moines, Iowa.
