2010-2011 Auburn Tigers Track and Field Preview
The Auburn men finished the season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships tied for 37th place. Plagued by injuries Marcus Rowland finished eighth in the 100 meters and unable to participate in the 4 x 100 meter relay.
If the team can remain healthy for the 2010-2011 season, they stand a chance to improve upon their NCAA standings.
The women's team finished the NCAA Outdoor Championships with an impressive 12th place finish. Scoring 23 points and earning an outstanding seven All-American honors.
The 12th place finish was the second best in school history with Sheniqua Ferguson becoming just the third Auburn woman to earn three All-American honors at one NCAA outdoor meet, finishing sixth in both the 100 and 200 meters and running on the seventh-place 4x100-meter relay.
With the return of several members of both teams, the 2010-2011 season looks to be a promising one.
