2008 ARKANSAS RAZORBACKS GYMNASTICS
The Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics team, although a part of the Arkansas Razorbacks, are better known as the Arkansas Lady backs. Not only that, for the 2007-2008 season the Arkansas lady backs have done very well. In fact, they are currently ranked #8 nationally.
One of the highlights of the Arkansas Lady backs gymnastics team 2007 season was the simple fact that several gymnastics records were beaten or tied by some of the members of the Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics team.
Records broken or tied were on the Vault and the tie beams to name a few. This was a great way for the Arkansas Lady backs to end their 2007 season.
The coaches were very proud of the Arkansas Lady backs gymnastics team and their efforts. The head coaches are Mark Cook and Rene Cook. The Assistant coach for the Arkansas lady backs team is Dave Kuzara.
The Arkansas Lady backs gymnastics team had a great 2007 season and will continue on their routines as they prepare for the 2008 season. With ten regional members a defending champion and six home events, the 2007 season ended with success.
So who are the members of the Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics team? Well here's who you can expect to see on the 2008 season roster.
Stacy Bartlett a freshman out of Tualatin, Oregon.
Samantha Cortez a senior out of Verona, New Jersey.
Allison Daniels a sophomore out of Kingwood, Texas.
Amy Defilippo a sophomore out of Torrance, California.
Alexandra La Chance a junior out of New Windsor, New York.
Molly Lewis a freshman out of Plano, Texas.
Casey Jo Magee a sophomore out of Eugene, Oregon.
Kathryn Maschino a freshman out of Edmond, Oklahoma.
Ashley McPherson a sophomore out of Springdale, Arkansas.
Sarah Nagashima a sophomore out of Seattle, Washington.
Emily Peacock a senior out of San Antonio, Texas.
Michelle Stout a sophomore out of Endwell, New York.
The first meet set for the 2008 season will be in January. Until then the Arkansas Lady backs gymnastics team will be in gymnastic camps. Keeping up with the image they have created as being great performers in their routines and floor performances.
When the 2008 season begins the Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics team will be ready. As of now, its uncertain, but there may be additional recruits among the Arkansas Lady backs gymnastics roster. During the off season when the Arkansas Lady backs are in their camps and practicing they also do fundraisers and other events to enhance the Arkansas Lady backs gymnastics team, and help out in other sports associated with the Arkansas razorbacks and the teams they have.
Although there were some losses in the 2007 season the Arkansas Lady backs are only using these losses as motivation to victories in the 2008 season.
Additionally all the members of the Lady backs gymnastics team take pride in the college they attend and are full of team spirit. They work hard on keeping their grade point averages up as well. Some of the Arkansas Lady backs gymnastics team members even have their eye on the Olympics in the future.
