Joe Willie Namath Was the Best SEC QB in History

Joe Willie Namath is the best QB from the SEC. A legend, a skilled athlete who was above the rest in a time when there was no roughing the passer penalties--personal fouls were few and far between.

If JWN played under today's conditions--his longevity and career marks would be astonishing. He player injured throughout his career in college and pros and still was a force that the football world had never seen before.

Others like Peyton Manning played on outstanding teams--where they would have won with a mediocre QB. Joe Namath was the pacesetter and arguably the best QB ever to play.

YA Tittle, Norm Van Brocklin, Bart Starr, Joe Montana, Jim Plunkett and some others are highly respectable--but if you ask any coach--who they would want as QB---Joe Willie would be the choice.

I know, I am one of them.

Nothing at all against PM. He is a super athlete and leader and outstanding person. Joe Willie Namath was a football QB.

Yep, Joe Nameth could play a little. At least he's listed #4 at Best All Time SEC Football Player.
