Since when is 1936 the magical "Official" year of the start of college football? There has NEVER been an "Official" National Championship, only Championships voted on by some poll that declared themselves to be important. The NCAA (who most would agree is the "official" of college sports) has NEVER awarded a national championship for college football. Other polls existed before the AP started in 1936. What an irrelevant point in time you chose!

Just because the AP started voting a poll in 1936 doesn't make football prior to that time irrelevant. Tell that to the guys who played in 1935!
