The Patriot's past winning seasons and championships, however they were achieved, have made them attractive to players trying to make it to the big one, such as Randy Moss. Even though the video taping has stopped the roster has felt its effects and benefited.

Also note that NFL defensive coordinators can change their signals from year to year, but unless they knew somebody was illegally tapping them, coordinators would have no motivation to do so.

So, had the Packers made it to the Super Bowl this year, the Patriots still have the tape from last year to use.

Spygate should have called into question this entire era of the Patriots, but was quickly swept away.
