2010 Kentucky Wildcats Softball

Looking for current Kentucky Wildcats Softball info? Check out our 2011 Kentucky Wildcats Softball page.

2007 was another rough season for Kentucky Wildcats softball. The Lady Cats ended up in last place in the SEC with a 4-24 record. However, they did go 16-7 in non-conference games. Consistent with the theme of this site -- "darn, the SEC is tough!"

Kentucky's head coach is Rachel Lawson and the two assistant coaches for the softball team are Kristine Himes and Jodi Chmielewski.

The Kentucky Wildcats softball team roster includes:

  • Samantha Allen/senior out of Davie, Florida
  • Meagan Aull/freshman out of Owensboro, Kentucky
  • Becky Bishop/junior out of Florence, Kentucky
  • Lindsay Brogdon/senior out of Birmingham, Alabama
  • Samantha demartine/freshman out of Marlboro, New York
  • Ashley Dimkich/senior out of Glendale, California
  • Molly Johnson/sophomore out of Tuscan, Arizona
  • Megan Jolly/senior out of Owensboro, Kentucky
  • Amber Matousek/sophomore out of Glendale, Arizona
  • Katie McCarty/junior out of Louiseville, Kentucky
  • Audrey Meyer/senior out of Jefferson, Oregon
  • Destinee Mordecai/sophomore out of McGregor, Texas
  • Annie Rowland/freshman out of Hillard, Ohio
  • Natalie Smith/ sophomore out of Glendale, Arizona
  • Megan Yocke/freshman out of Sunnyvale, California

  • Jennifer Young/sophomore out of Radcliff, Kentucky.

The roster includes an impressive list of athletes. Samantha Allen should lead the way as the Wildcats #1 pitcher in the 2008 season. Lindsay Grogdon, Megan Jolly, and Amber Matousek will also pitch.

Kentucky's offensive production and batting average saw improvment in 2007. The hope is that the pitching can come around as well in 2008.
