Just a thought about UT Football '08

Tennessee football 2008 will be an interesting year to say the least. I'm sure you aren't even connected to the Tennessee football family. You are probably another one of those people who like create confusion?

Really the only two teams I see having a chance at the big orange is Florida and Georgia. The only reason I put Georgia in there is because we play them at there place. The whole reload mentality of you bloggers is ridiculous. It starts at the top with team effort the development of cohesion within the team during the season.

I'm not going to even bother the average reader with a breakdown of the teams on the schedule except Georgia and Florida.

I'll start with Florida.

It is simple, Tennesse has always had trouble with big white boy quarterbacks that can run the draw. Always have! Matt Mauk from LSU during the SEC championship game. Even the 'rooster' of Florida State from the 98' Fiesta Bowl. One good lick on Percy Harvin and Florida could be an afterthought.

Georgia:
Mathew Stafford has definitely come of age. NO RECEIVERS!!
Only one returning starter. Everybody knows how tough it is to replace or as you all think reload on the SEC level.
The one player who could be the difference maker is Knowshon Moreno. Like Marcus Allen of USC fame. He will be the reason they win.

Nobobdy on our schedule should come close with all the players who have played for Tennessee returning this year. We are thick at reciever, running back offensive line. Crompton has already been on the big stage against LSU and almost won!!

Defensively we will be a beast. You have to remember Albert Hainesworth was always too slow? There is a wealth of experience in the trenches with some younger guys starting to come of age. The linebackers are probably the weakest link. Forget about discussing the secondary. Two All SEC players in Berry and Morley.

It could be like you say a lot of broken hearts. I'd say they will be broken by good players on Georgia and Florida and that is it. I think at end of the year the big orange faithful will have some big surprises. Maybe even an SEC Championship!! Go Vols
