Big 12 (OK) vs SEC (FL)

This will be the first meeting between OU and Florida, two of college football’s most storied programs.

The Sooners, however, have had much better success against the SEC than the Gators have had against the Big 12.

OU is 20-8-3 against teams currently in the SEC, holding a losing record only to Ole Miss, which beat the Sooners in the 1999 Independence Bowl in the two teams’ only matchup.

The Gators are 5-6-1 against Big 12 teams, the most recent loss coming in the 1995 national title game. There, the Gators were thrashed by Nebraska, 62-24.
