This is NOT debatable. I know this is an sec website so you have to put YOUR best player ever and say it was THE best player ever but im sorry, barry sanders cannot be contested.

His Heisman year, barry sanders set 34 (34? yeah, 34) NCAA records. Were not talking conference or team records here, herschel, were talkin NCAA.

Over 2,600 yards (thats just rushing. add about 1000 more yards for all purpose) 39 touchdowns. (difficult to do even on playstation.) all of this in 11 games. rushed for 300+ yards in FOUR games. Averaged 7.6 ypc.

7.6 Thats 2 first downs every 3 plays.

IN 11 GAMES. 11. JUST 11.
THEN, during the Holiday Bowl, he scored 5 TD's AND rushed for 222 yds IN THE FIRST 3 QURATERS. He sat out the 4th quarter.
