Would You Call In Sick To See Your Favorite Team Play?

This week DiscoverCard's fan poll "discovered" that only 5% of fans would call in sick to see their favorite college football game for free. 70 percent, would tell their boss the truth and ask for the day off, while 15 percent would simply refuse the tickets and go to work that day. A few fans, 6 percent, would sell the tickets.

However, if their boss was a diehard fan of the rival team playing in that game, 19 percent of fans thought it a good idea to invite their boss to the game.

SEC fans were a bit more honest than most as 73% would tell their boss the truth and ask for the day off. Or, maybe we just feel like our bosses would be understanding. Maybe because our bosses are probably also SEC fans :)

Alabama is still #1 -- will be interesting to see how they fare in the next poll having barely beaten LSU. But, wow, 5 of the top 8 teams in the DiscoverCard Fan Poll are in the SEC. Alabama at #1; Georgia, Florida, LSU and South Carolina at 5-8.
