Maybe I missed it, but I saw no comment on this site about the very important fact that the SEC's top two teams are still playing football two weeks after the Big Ten season concludes. All SEC teams play at least 1 more week after the conclusion of the Big Ten season. The Big Ten has the same disadvantage with other conferences that have championship games.

Now whenever this fact is mentioned in debates like this it usually does not get a lot of credibility. I for one however feel it is an important factor in games played post-season. The Big Ten gets fewer pre-bowl practices and the ones we do have cannot duplicate game speed and mentality.

This is not an SEC problem nor is it one the SEC created. It is due to the stupidity of the oblivious Big Ten Commissioner and the powers that be. I do not know how much of a factor this is, but it is a factor in game performance and should be addressed by the Big Ten. Then maybe we'll see better bowl game play out of the Big Ten.
