The 1979 Sugar Bowl Alabama vs Penn State

by Turner Harrison

There is no doubt that the 1979 Sugar Bowl was the best all-time SEC victory. Penn State was marching down field to score with only a few seconds left, they were inside the two and were going to score when the determined Alabama Defense and Barry Krauss made the Goal Line Stand to seal the 10th National Championship for Alabama.

Obviously was the best play ever made by a Bama defense(Even better than "The Strip"). A fundamental football team kept heart with its coach and stopped Penn State IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! What a play.....
