South Carolina Gamecocks vs Ohio State Buckeyes

The SEC has been very rude to the ohio state buckeyes in bowl games over the years especially since the year 2000. South Carolina helped the buckeyes launch the new century by soundly defeating them two years in a row in the outback bowl and the gamecocks were the last team to beat the buckeyes before they won the national championship.

It should be noted that the Gamecocks were in the middle of the pack in the SEC Eastern division when they beat the buckeyes two years in a row in bowl games.

If the ohio state buckeyes were in the SEC division this year 2007 they would have probably come in third or fourth place. South Carolina has never lost to ohio state however we did play LSU this year and they are GOOD so we'll see how the big 10 matches up.

I am a true believer in the preeminence of SEC football and the South Carolina Gamecocks have the scars to prove it, however in an effort to be gracious and kind to the Big 10 I'll project that their champion will make a fine showing against the LSU Tigers, almost as good as the Gamecocks did this year.

So goodbye from Gamecock Country and hopefully we'll see you buckeyes in the next bowl game ya'll play, where I'm sure that Ohio State will still be trying to win their first bowl game against an SEC team.
