Championship Final Four and Bowl Season Preview

By - Kory Kinslow

We will start with the bowl games. South Carolina will play the University of Miami(FL) in the Duck Commander Independence Bowl. Miami is a pretty decent team, but I believe if you give Steve Spurrier this much time to prepare for one team, he will win it. I see USC by 10. Texas A&M plays West Virginia in the Autozone Liberty Bowl. A&M played like a top 25 team much of the season, but played down to other competition at times. Western Virginia is a decent team, but I think that A&M will win this one in a shoot out by 7.

Arkansas and Texas match up in an old rivalry in the Texas Bowl. Texas has a decent defense, but has not seen a running attack like the Razorbacks have and I believe the Razorback defense is superior to the offense of Texas. Arkansas wins by 17. LSU will play Notre Dame in the Music City Bowl. This will be a very good game, but if the Notre Dame turnover department doesn't clear up it could get ugly. LSU has been on the cusp of something great all year and I believe they will score early and often winning by 21. Georgia will play Louisville in the Belk Bowl.

I believe that this is the first SEC loss we see. I think that Petrinos years at Arkansas give him an insight into the Georgia team and the Cardinals win by ten. Ole Miss plays a very good TCU team in the Chik-Fil-A Peach Bowl. Ole Miss is a good team with a good quarterback, but I personally believe that TCU could beat at least one of the teams in the playoff and will win a close one by 7. Mississippi State plays Georgia Tech in the Orange Bowl. I think that the Bulldogs have the defense to stop the Yellow Jacket running attack and win a low scoring and close game by 3.

Auburn plays Wisconsin in the Outback bowl. Wisconsin is very good at the run, but so is Auburn. I think that Auburn is hard to prepare for and Wisconsin plays a lot like an Arkansas team that Auburn beat this year. Auburn wins by 3. Missouri will play Minnesota in the Citrus Bowl. I believe that the defense of Missouri wins out in this one and they win by 21. Tennessee plays Iowa in the Taxslayer bowl. Iowa is going to have a tough time with a very physical Tennessee team and the Vols play hard like they have all year and win by 10. Florida will play East Carolina in the Birmingham bowl. East Carolina is a very good team with a great passing attack. Florida can run the ball some, but have a tough time passing. I think that East Carolina outscores the Gators by 10.

Alabama is the one seed and only team in the College playoff. They start out with Ohio State. Ohio State has a young quarterback with little experience playing and I think Bama feeds on that winning the first game easily. I believe Oregon will beat Florida State handily and will set up the Alabama versus Oregon Championship Game. I think Oregon comes out early with a two touchdown lead in the first quarter, but after that it's all Alabama and they win the game by 14 to win the first tournament championship.

What the heck is going on here? We were 0-5 in the west? The Big 10 is a joke but are we more of a joke?
