Realistic Football Fan

This site is a riot. So I guess reading this site you would say the Big East was by far the best conference last year huh, followed by the WAC? ... Over the last 5 years the SEC is 6-8 vs. the Big Ten. Your overall stats are funny, as you noted the big ten only allowed 1 team to go to a bowl for years... the big ten had a horrible outing last year in the bowl games, but the 2 wins were against the SEC.

All of the major conferences have great teams, just deal with it. The number of NFL 1st round draft pics from OSU alone should clear that up.

Why does the SEC seem to avoid out of conference games against the other major conferences early in the season? Maybe I'm wrong here but it seems they tend to stay home more than the other conferences. I would love to see them play more out of conference early.

For eons, only the Pac 8 and Big 10 conferences could play in the Rose Bowl. That is because teams like Alabama thrashed the champs of those 2 conferences when allowed to play in the "grand-daddy" of all bowls. That was apparently embarrasing to the northern/eastern establishment sports gurus and so only those 2 conferences were allowed to play. Let's see, who won the last 2 Rose Bowls? Was it Michigan two yers ago? Oops they lost to Texas. Was it Ohio State last year? Nope, they lost to Texas also. The Big 10 should be called "Ohio State, Michigan and the 9 dwarfs".

I am not going to say that all of the Non-conference games LSU play this season were against power house teams... But it should be noted that LSU did schedule Va. Tech, and beat them, and they turned out to be #3 in the final BCS rankings.
