Play Some Bowl Games Up North

by Big Ten Fan Ryan
(Alexandria, VA)

I just want to point out that the Big Ten teams are usually set up with a power running game and good defense. This plays well when playing games in cold weather, where all the teams are from. This doesn't pay off when the bowl season comes and all the teams go to warm weather cities (mostly down south) to play.

I always thought that football was a cold weather sport since it is played in the fall and winter. So why not play bowl games up north so that the northern schools can have some home games once in a while instead of always giving the SEC, PAC 10, Big 12 home field advantage.

Look back to the Ohio State-LSU game a few years back. Ohio State had to travel to Louisiana to play against a team with a worse record. What a joke. Not hard to win most of your bowls when you get a home field advantage.

That makes the Big Ten's all-time winning percentage that much more impressive considering that all of the games were played away.
