One of the 3 Best??? by: Ken Brown
I watch, study and love the game that is big-time college football.I would say the three best coaches I have observed are 1) Bear Bryant 2) Tom Osborne and 3) Pete Carroll. Now mind you Carroll's position is not set in stone. He is just starting his 9th season so his body of work is not big enough yet. However if he maintains the pace he is on...well wow!! Maybe move him up.
He has endured coaching changes and significant personal changes and keeps on winning at a blistering pace. But if he quits in the next year or two then I don't think his run would be long enough to claim a spot with the true giants of the game. And you know, better keep an eye on Urban Meyer too!
