Nebraska 1994-1995

What about the Florida beating that Nebraska put on? No #1 team has ever been beaten by 30+ points. Best team ever was Nebraska '94 - '95 and best conference is the Big 12 !!!

Even as a lifelong SEC fan and TCU alumnus, putting bias aside, Dr. Tom's Nebraska teams of the mid-nineties were the most dominant program I remember in college football. They were truly awe-inspiring. Their offensive line made opposing teams nauseous. By the fourth quarter the opponent's defense was so gassed that Nebraska could consistently get 10-20 yards per play by simply running the ball up the middle. I have never seen anything like it before or since. All that being true, it does not make the Southwest conference or the Big 12 the best conference of all time. The SEC is without question the best conference of the last decade (the BCS era). It is silly to argue otherwise.

They also have a good argument for being the best conference in the history of college football. Conference and team strength tends to be cyclical among the major programs (largely depending on who gets caught doing what unfortunately). Good luck to Nebraska in the Big 10 or whatever they are calling it now.

Tommy Frazier was robbed...

Not only do the back to back national championship teams rank among the best ever, Tommy Frazier was clearly the most deserving player for the Heisman.

I'm a Tennessee fan with the utmost respect for the Cornhuskers.
