Georgia Bulldogs upcoming game versus Vanderbilt

Georgia will play Vanderbilt tomorrow night in Athens. This game will decide who will be in second place in the SEC East by themselves. Vanderbilt has a record of 18-6, 6-4 in conference play. Georgia is 17-7, 6-4 in conference play. Florida Gators are in first place with a record of 20-5, 9-2 in conference play. Both Vanderbilt and Georgia beat Kentucky at least once this season. Trey Thompkins has an average of 16.6 points per game. Gerald Robinson of Georgia leads the team with assist with 3.9 per game.

Vanderbilt's scoring leader is John Jenkins with 19.8 points per game. Brad Tinsley of Vanderbilt leads the team with assist with 4.5 per game. Vanderbilt beat Georgia back in January 12th. Vanderbilt won 73-66, in that game, Georgia never had a rythmn going. The Bulldogs came within 3 points in the 2nd half but never been able to close the gap. In Mark Fox's second season as head coach, Georgia has been able to play for most of the game. With Saturday's win at South Carolina, the Bulldogs were guaranteed a winning road stand. Last time Georgia had a winning road stand, was in 2002.

Georgia plays Tennessee on Saturday in Knoxville, while Vanderbilt will be at Auburn. Georgia plays at Florida next week and will hope to be right behind Florida.
