BCS Championship Has Ruined the Bowl Games

Other than the BCS Championship Game, who really cares about the bowls? Except for the one game, they are all consolation games.

It would be like at the end of the NFL regular season, they announced who was going to be in the Super Bowl and then offered up a bunch of consolation "playoff" games. Or if March Madness seated teams 1-64 and had 1 play 2 for the championship, but also had 3 play 4, 5 play 6 etc. in consolation games. Do you really think anyone would care about anything but the championship games?

I used to have 3 TVs going on New Years Day. Now I have none.

Bowl games are a let down
by: Anonymous

Its fine and dandy to have 1 play 2, but, the other bowls are played to empty stadiums and a vacant TV audience. The Orange Bowl used to have some weight. The Cotton Bowl used to have some possible meaning. Now, only parents and girl friends of players in the bogus who-cares-what happens bowls pay any attention. A playoff will only ruin and make the regular season as useless as the current bowl scenario. Thanks BCS!
