Alabama vs Auburn: 1000 % incorrect information

"In 1958, Bryant came to Alabama and turned their football world upside down forever. It started in 1959, when Bama beat Auburn -- for the first time -- and appeared in a bowl game. Also, for the first time."

I'm not sure if the author was trying to say something else and left out a few sentences or if they smoked too much funny stuff before they typed the above paragraph but Alabama had numerous bowl appearances AND wins over Auburn decades before Coach Bryant came there as a coach or even a player.

I think the author is trying to discuss Coach Bryant breaking a temporary drought in Bama wins against Auburn and bowl appearances but the way it is worded it leaves the impression that somehow this was the first time either event had ever happened IN Alabama's football history . Simply untrue .....
