ACC Still a Better Conference?

by Mr. Collegefootball

ACC vs SEC has never been better at showcasing their talents than in a BCS bowl game.

If determining what conference is better by regular season play, when a lesser ACC team plays a good SEC team or vice-versa, then, yes, the SEC is better.

But if your determining factor is BCS Bowls played against one another; where its good vs good, the ACC leads that 8-5.

Editor's Note: Hmmm, Clemson vs. Alabama was #1 ACC vs #6 (at the time) SEC. Score: Alabama 34; Clemson 10.

Ok, yes this year in 2008 goes without speaking; the SEC has something to prove and did so by the SEC's Alabama beating the ACC's Clumsy Tigers in the first highlighted game of the college football season.

Although Bama looked very polished in this game, last year against FSU they weren't so graceful, losing to a struggling Seminole Nation, which had lead college football through the 90's.

My last segment that was written was that of the ACC vs SEC games, when it was played in BCS Bowl games, not regular season games. So if you account for all the BCS Bowl games i.e( Sugar Bowl, Fed Ex Bowl) when played against each other, the ACC still hold the relativley young series standing, 8-5.

So if the SEC really wants to have true bragging rights, stay respected for longer than 3 years, and start beating the ACC when it counts, then we have something to ponder.
