Best Way to Build Your Own Website

Hi. If you are interested in building a website, you are almost at the right place.

This used to be the primary page where I talked about my experience building this site. But, over time, I learned more from Site Build It (SBI) about how to best select keywords that you are most likely to be competitive with in the search engines.

When I first build this page I selected "build your own website" as the key words for this page.

Subsequently, I have learned that if you use keywords that are more relevant to your site, and particularly words that are in your site URL -- you are much more likely to be competitive in the search engines.

So, I named a new page "How to Build a Sports Website." The key word "sports" being more relevant to my site and also in my URL. Hopefully, in time, the new page will rank highly in the search engines when people search for "how to build a sports website" or similar terms.
